    Penta III Warning Light

Off at mains - nothing (harrdly surprising!)  On at mains - red light

Switch on Beosystem - green light and green display  work fine - sit back and enjoy music

Off using BL 7000 - red light

    So far so good......

10 minutes later the red light (on one side) turns orange.  Does anyone have any ideas why??

As a result I do not tend to leave the speakers on standby....

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Re: Penta III Warning Light

If the warning light turns yellow/orange then the protection circuit been activated because of a detected fault which normally means:-

    • The amplifier unit has overheated,
    • A fault occurred in the amplifier which could damage the loudspeaker units.

Assuming this never happens whilst the speakers are in use (playing music etc), then the fault is likely to be power supply related i.e. it is drawing more current in "Standby" than it should

    Regards Keith....
