    "All Off" and Avant stand

I've noticed that the stand of my newly acquired Avant(US) only resets to the off position when powering off locally. If it receives the "All Off" command from any other link room it does not reset to the stand's off position but simply turns off the screen.  However, if it receives the "All Off" locally it does.

Is this typical?  If so I wonder what the engineers were thinking as it seems to negate one of the more practical aspects of the function.

It's for safety reason. You're not allowed to remote operate a moving object without surveillance.

The NTSC MX5x00 series do the same thing, as I recall.

Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs!!! You learn something new every day.
I was going to ask a similar question, as my Beoport, long off, turns everything off but doesn't park the Avant. Now I know why, a baby could have it's head wedged in between the Sky box and the back of the Avant while I'm in the kitchen.
    Messy!

Wonder if a parking sensor they have on modern car would allow it? If there's anything behind the telly it stops. Hmm

Also, the device that sends my electric car windows into reverse when I stick my finger in could be deployed.
