Problem with hearing both speakers at the same time

I have a B&O 2400 and B&O speakers.  Both speakers seem to be ok, but cannot get both to play at the same time.  The"Balance slide" does not seem to allow alternation from one speaker to the other.  Any ideas?  Do  you think that there is a problem with the 2400 or or is it some switch or wire that is loose?  Any advise will be appreciated.  Donald

You may have plugged the speakers into left speaker one and left speaker two, instead of left speaker one and right speaker one.
    Just a thought.

Hi:  Thanks for taking out the time to respond.  Do  you think that it is likely to be a problem with the console itself?  Donald

Pardon me if you've already checked what the others have said and found it not to be the case but it isn't clear - your amp will have two left outputs and two rights. You need to be sure you are plugged into a left and a right output rather than two lefts.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
