    Beogram 3404 plays too fast.

    Hi all,

I have a new to me Beogram 3404 that plays records (45s and 33s) much too quickly.  I've played with the -5 +5 speed adjustments on the player itself, but it makes no difference.  No matter what I do, it plays too fast and doesn't track straight (songs sound slightly warblish)

I downloaded the service manual from Beoworld but it all looks greek to me.

Any comments or suggestions for a good repairman?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to Beoworld. Where are you located? As it would help in suggesting someone who could look at it for you.

    Welcome to Beoworld !

I would start looking at the two trimmers on the motor control board, they tend to come apart physically.

Any good repairshop will have new parts and the skills to replace them.
