    beosound 3000 and N Music

    Hi there

I have a load of music on my PC that I would like to be able to play through my beosound 3000. I understand that I will need more than just a cable, I see I will need the 'beolink pc2' - can anyone tell me how much this costs / what is a fair price for it? I understand I will also need a cable as to my knowledge there is no way to do it wirelessly?

Also, does it use the masterlink socket on the bs3000? I have already used the AUX-5 pin din, so that wouldnt be an option

I already have the beoplayer software installed..

     Any information greatly appreciated

From memory - as I sold this system a couple of years ago!

You need a Beolink PC2 which was renamed as Beoport. This connects to your computer with USB cable and to the 3000 via Masterlink. Comes with a software on CD but you can download the latest version from the B&O website.

Suggest that you look on eBay for local prices.

    Regards Graham

Good memory Graham, there is also a lead from the sound card on your PC that goes to the PC2/Beoport.

Make sure you have the latest software in your BS3000.

If it has the large CD-clamper it's no problem but if you have small one you might have to do a small SW upgrade.

Sorry, there is only software updates for the Beosound 9000 and the Beosound 3000 to allow them to support N.Music.

The Ouverture does not have a software update to provide the N.Music functionality.
