Tone Arm Missing Record on Beogram 6500

    Hi All,
When I try to play a record on my Beogram 6500 the tone arm drops prematurely and skids off the record onto the deck.  If it travelled just one millimeter further before dropping all would be fine.  I know there's an adjustment for this and I have access to the technical manual, but how difficult is it to make this adjustment?  Do I have to disassemble the whole turntable to do it?   Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a deck in front of me but I think you just need to take off the top platter. Under this is a sub-platter with a card cover. Take off the card cover, and the adjustment cam is as shown in the manual. Small tweak, put it all back on and see where it drops now! Probably take a couple of goes to get it just right!
