    Beogram 8000/8002 question

I've got an 8000 in good condition, but has a soon-to-be-fatal problem.

The 8000 has a laminated plastic ring on its hub with markings to establish its speed. That laminated plastic is beginning to curl.

     Uh oh!

The 8002 has a similar ring, but it's metal, and I've heard that it's identical and can be used to replace the plastic one on the 8000.

Does anyone know if that's true? And if it's true, does anyone have a trashed 8002 with a good tach ring?

Ah, me ... the trials and tribulations ...

Martin (Dillen on site) has had some new ones made!! Contact him. These are a complete blessing as before that there was no answer!

Actually in the this case, definitely Martin to the rescue. A huge project with a few reverses but a successful ending.

    Definately Martins baby this one.

I remember him working on this from the first incarnation of Beoworld going back years. He has put an enormous amount of energy into this one where many would have given up at the umpteenth hurdle.

    Chris.
