Help my MX4000 turns itself on??

Can anybody help me, I just got a 2nd hand MX4000 but it turns itself on every night?? Has anybody any heard anything like this before? Or is there a timer that I have missed that turns on the tv?

No timer that I know of. Do you have it linked to anything else that could be triggering it? Is it the same time every night?

Mine did the same ... the cause ... the freeview box was set to look for software updates every night ... and when it turned on, it signalled the TV to via the scart.

I had the same problem with the Freeview box, I disabled the automatic update and it is fine though if I set it to record it switches the TV on and this did not happen with the BV3

I have had the same issue too. If you have just added a freeview box, disable the automatic software update. I bet it's happening between 2 and 3 am too?
