How to program a customized light patern

First of all: Thanks to Keith Saunders. My BEO5 is now working the way I like. He solved the errors I got during serialization. Many thanks to Keith.

There is an other problem left. In the Living room I have 3 LC2 controllers and they are all set to different light setting (customized programming). The LC2 are switched on by the command: LINK (selected with the list button) than LIGHT and than the number 9. Thats on the BEO4 remote. So how can I program LINK LIGHT 9 on my BEO5???

Piet, why do you need the link command?
On my Beo4 I have four different 'light pictures'
    I press "Light, 1" or "Light, 4".
    On Beo5, it's just 0.000:LIGHT:LIGHT+0:000:LIGHT:CIFFER_2

    Oke Andy,

are we talking about the same. What I mean is the light patern that I stored by my self. So with one command all the LC2s light up the way I told them to do. So far I know I need the LINK command to activate it. Also on my Beolink 7000 I have to use the LINK command to activate my own stored light patern. With Light 1 and so on I only get the factory settings of the LC2s.

Re: How to program a customized light patern

    Same here Piet.
When I press 'Light 3' on Beo4, my main light goes out and my table lamp and my outside light come on.
I think the problem is the difference between "Local Light Picture" and "Global Light Picture"
I can't remember which one I have programmed, but I do know I had to change it for my Beolink 7000.
I don't use the link button on my Beolink 1000, 5000, 7000 or Beo4. Therefore I don't need to program it on my Beo5!
Do you still have the instructions for your LC2?

Your story is what I mean, Andy. So I have programmed a different light patern than you have.

I have the instructions for the LC2. Otherwise I can downloaded it here on the site. I have to find out what I have done; it's a long time ago that I have programmed the LC2's.

With the LINK command is that the Global Light Picture?

Re: How to program a customized light patern

Yes I think so Piet. The link command was to program lights in different rooms with IR eyes in each room.
However, the Beolink 7000 can't do local 'pictures', only global ones. So I changed mine to global, even though all three of my LCs are in one room. I still don't need the link command.

Re: How to program a customized light patern

    Hello Andy,

last weekend I got it working. I had used the global light patern in the past and now I have programmed also a local light patern. So now it works with LIGHT and the number. Also the global one is still working.

    Thanks for your help, Andy.

Did we found something the BEO5 can't do (LINK LIGHT number)??

Glad you have sorted it PietSmile

I think the link command is in there, but I haven't had to use it yet.
