    beogram 7000 turntable w original mmc1 cart

I am the second owner. What is it worth? Should I just keep it? When playing my 1960 albums the voice is distorted.

If it has a good cartridge, and the lid is in excellent condition, these can start sneaking up to the (equivalent) $1000 mark !!!

If the voice is distorted, you may have an issue with the cartridge - or you may even have it connected to an amplifier with an RIAA already inbuilt.  The 7000 deck has an RIAA pre-amp inside it already, and if you connect it to say a BeoMaster 5000, 5500 it will distort like mad!!

To help establish if your cartridge might be the problem, check out the FAQ at the following link.

     http://www.sound-smith.com/faq02.html

You can buy a new cartridge there if you need one.
