Beocord 5000 5 pin DIN plug?

I've just bought a Beomaster 5000 and a Beocord 5000 from a couple of different sources.  The beocord 5000 only has 5 pins in its DIN plug and isn't being controlled by the Beomaster 5000.  The cable is hardwired into the Beocord 5000, but I was expecting a 7 pin plug.

Is the plug wrong or is there something else that I can check?

     Thanks

    John

There will be two holes that you can screw a pin into! You actually only need 6 pins in each component so if you have a beogram , unscrew one and put it in the Beocord! The Becord and the Beogram CD use the same pin and a non RIAA Beogram uses the opposite one. I can never remember which one so experiment! If you don't have a pin, I think Martin can get you one!
