    Problem With Beogram 1500.

Hello, I am new to this site, I have just acquired a Beogram 1500 the one with the silver top.

It will play perfectly well, but when it comes to the end of the record the stylus does not lift and it proceeds to scratch straight across the vinyl.Sad

I am fairly handy and wondered if there was a simple fix or could it be more terminal?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Welcome to Beoworld. Most of these radial decks use the same basic mechanism. Have a look at this thread which describes a similar problem in a similar deck. There are some pictures lower down which explain far better than I can!

Very good simple deck and well worth getting working! Best of luck!

    Peter,

Thank you very much for the info, I have followed the instructions and now have a fully functioning turntable.

I also have a few other bits of old B&O hi fi which I plan to get up and running, so I might well need more soon.

    Once again thanks.Big Smile

To be honest, I prefer the older equipment! It is easier to use and also easier to fix! (Or in my case get fixed!!) Sound quality is good and build quality fantastic. Some models are fantastic value for money - the Beomaster 2200 springs to mind.
