Try it with one speaker first and listen? I'd expect it to sound notably funny with an out-of-phase driver.
Another option might be to try flicking the driver with a small DC voltage (a small 1.5V battery is definitely enough, limit it with a 15 ohm or so series resistor if you want to be extremely safe) and see which way the cone moves. I can't remember offhand if it goes in or out with a correctly phased signal, but maybe you have another speaker element with known polarity you could compare it to.
I suppose you have already tried to google the manufacturer of the drivers, and see whether they have data sheets online?
