    Accessing anti-skate on Beogram 3404

    Hello,

I'm trying to adjust the anti-skate on my 3404 - the service manual clearly shows what's required, but I'm just not sure how to get to that adjustment. I'm not even sure how to remove the platter?! Gentle pulls upward yield no result, and I'm nervous to use too much force on any piece of this old turntable. Could anyone here offer some instructions beyond those in the service manual?

    Thanks for any help!

    Mike.

The platter does just lift off but this is a lot trickier to do than is said!! A couple of credit cards - one under each side usually works! The service manual looks completely unhelpful about the anti skating!! I suggest looking around the arm pillar!

Thanks! The credit card trick worked like magic. You're right, no access from below the platter, looks like I'll need to get a little more adventurous and get under the cover near the arm.
