    Beolink 5000 - Beosound 3000

I've picked up a beolink 5000 remote with a beosystem 2500, the remote works fine with the 2500 but does not work with my Beosound 3000!! Does anyone know if they are not compatible.

Also, I had the BS3000 playing through my Avant tv which is now gone. I now have some beolab 6000's connected to the BS3000 but the system must be set to just play through the tv (option 0 on the audio set up) as whilst I have sound coming through the 6000's I have no volume control atall. I do not have a Beo4 remote, is this the only way of switching the audio set up for option 1.

The Beosystem 2500 you use probably had two way communication. the BS3000 doesn't have this feature. You can use a Beolink 5000 with the BS3000 if you set it to one way communication. Unfortunately, I don't remember how you do this right now.

If you remove the batteries when you put them back in I think it will go in to one way mode.

Thanks Ignace, I remember reading a few threads about loose contacts and presumed as most people use them in two way it reverted back to one way.

Your beosound is in the wrong option, thats why it don't work.

    should be option 1

    With the BS3000 in standby.

Try SOUND 1 STORE on the Link 5000

That should put it into option 1
