    Picture in Picture module

    Hi:

I have a basic understanding of electronics and have built and stripped down PCs in the past. Thus if I bought a PinP module for my Avant would it be like installing say a PCI card or ram upgrade in a PC. Also I have heard I would need a special screwdriver - is this B&O specific or could I get it from a hardware store?

    Thanks

    Graham

Graham, if it is like the one for the MX5000 then it is just plug and play. Not sure about a special Screwdriver. Would imagine it just a Torx type so easily available.

You need a splind screwdriver, more manufacturers are using them now, but can be purchased from Halfords in the UK because they are also used on cars.

    Hi:

Thanks, you learn something new every day - I also like messing around with old Jags and I often use star drive sockets which is what that is. I probably invented that term but am glad I know the right term now...

    Re: Picture in Picture module

.....And the installation of the PIP module depends of the type of Avant, but you could do it i think, i did one on the T8111 which is installing the board  (yes: with the torx screw, and you'll needs torx (15 i think) to open the Avant).
Plug one connector in and cut 4 jumpers on the board behind it, for the later Avants it might be different again...
