Just a little acknowledgement to the high volume of new members we are getting!!!  We have an average of about 17 new members a day - but it's really spiked over the last few days!

I'd just like to say, on behalf of BeoWorld, a big Welcome to you all - and get posting !! Big Smile

    Re: New Members!

    Hey there folks.

Finally taking the plunge into the world of B&O - a good friend of mine works in my local store, so have been on the edge of the 'scene' for a little while now.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320193926666&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT&ih=011

Bidding on the above at the moment - I really like the look of the older stuff, and as most of the items in the current catalogue cost more than a weeks wages for me I figured this might be a good place to start!

Anyway just thought I would say hi.Big Smile

Hi there and welcome to the best forum on the wwwBig Smile

The item you are bidding on looks very muh like a Beomaster 3000-2

If this is in good condition, it will be a wonderful first B&O product!
Be warned though, once you start buying B&O, you will contract the Beovirus to which there is no known cure.

    Hi Andy

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I had been looking through the product list but hadn't found it yet.

I have one of those little FM transmitters for my MP3 player so hopefully will be a good mix of classic and modern!

To be honest I can see me endeing up the same as I am with cars, I like fast/expensive ones but have a limited budget, so end up buying old stuff going cheap!

(I've seen the ebay forum now.....Whistle)

The other bidder is one of our prolific posters on Beoworld!
When you start buying B&O stuff on eBay you often see the same names cropping up over and over and most of them are us!!
If I were you, I would edit your last post and remove the price or you might find it gets sold to jandyt for £XX.01.Wink

Welcome to BeoWorld Ford Probe fan!

However Andy has done well to warn you about the BeoVirus or BeoBug as I prefer to call it. You can't blame us for not warning you now! Big Smile

Keep us posted with your future collection of B&O, we would love to know what you have and how you get on with it of course.

See you around on the forums. Yes - thumbs up

    Re: New Members!

Ford Probe Fan, there is no help for you now. You will get bitten by the B&O bug. At first you will think it is not a problem then the next thing you know you will have a housefull of B&O. Just like the rest of us. Where in Worcester are BTW, lived in Worcester myself a few years back in Barborne.

    Re: New Members!

Craig I'm in Welland mate, bit out in the sticks near Malvern.

TBH I've had a bid on that system as it's only in Stourport so could go and collect!

Should be loud enough for my bedroomDevil

Was bidding on a Beolit 600 portable radio too but that went for over £130!
