    TT running slow

My model 1700 B&O T.T. is running slow.  Here's my question; Should there be a belt guide on the motor spindle? The guides I have seen are brass and fairly thick. I think this would speed it to the proper rpm. The belt is currently running on the motor shaft itself. It seems a little loose to me. I haven't had this very long and bought a new belt, installed it, then checked the tt out. Any help on this would be appreciated.  Thanks,  Jim

    Welcome to Beoworld !

Yes, there should be a brass pulley on the motor shaft, apprx 10mm in diameter. It's a press-fit but will also have been glued.

Thank you very much for this info. Now the next question; Do you have any idea where I might find one?  Thanks again,  Jim

I have a little stock of good used parts but did you look inside the deck ?

Yes. I checked it out carefully.  Do you think you may have that part? I had just about given up hope. Please let me know.

    Thanks, Jim
