Panasonic plasma - any feedback if good?

    Guys/Gals - anyone with experience with the Panasonics 50" plasma monitor (TH-50PH9WK) http://panasonic.com.au/products/details.cfm?objectID=3650) ?

Planning on connecting it with a BS3; given however everybodys feedback that some monitors works better than others - whats the case for the Panasonic's?

    Cheers

    Hello Klas,

I connected the TH-42PH9EK to the BS3 with succes. Everything is working as it was a BV4. Perfect image, but to get it absolutely stunning, I would like to calibrate the system, starting with a 'do it yourself' DVD.

thanks Beogen; is your panasonic  also a  1080i? Any concerns with this?

Been reading a lot about 1080i vs. 1080p and the debates seems endless; i'm mainly watching DVD's; will the screen not live up to the true standards of the BS3?

It is also HD-ready, I didn't want a full HD after reading a lot. I watch a lot of SD DTV and I won't benifit from full HD because of my viewing distance and 42" diagonal.

Next year they start broadcasting in 1080i, so I don't see the point of 1080p at the moment

Thanks Beogen; I picked up the screen yesterday and i'm really happy with the purchase

50" instead of 42"; definetly worth it

gen 9 vs. my old gen 3.....well; the difference is noteable ;)

Beonic man; i must have missed the first 11 steps....cause lately my gadget account has seen some big hits.....lastly a BS3 ordered last Friday....well its only christmas once a year and there is nothing as motivating coming back to work in January when you have a big pile of debt to pay off :)
