Many thanks to Henry - the paint job and colour shade is superb!

Out of curiosity, did you do it yourself? And if so, what did you use to create a tooth for the new coat of paint (primer or sandpaper)? Did you use a kiln to dry the covers? The plastic feels a little different (not in a bad way). Big Smile

You're welcome Dave! And my service is available to everyone Yes - thumbs up

Yes I spray painted the covers myself. I'm not quite sure what you mean by creating a tooth for the new coat of paint, however I applied a lacker after the final coat of paint had dried. This made the paint a bit more shiny and might also be useful as a thin protective layer against light scuffs and scratches.

Yes I must admit that does look very nice in red. Perhaps B&O should take note of that, there may be a market for it. I am trying to imagine my BeoCom 2 in red although I wouldn't have the nerve to try spraying it!

My dealer told me the BeoCom 6000 will be available in white and red very soon. Didn't mention anything about the BeoCom 4 though.

I have seen a metalic lime green BeoCom 2. It looked great!

    Re: Red Beocom 4!

By tooth i mean did you sand or prime the surface before you painted it? If you didn't get a tooth for the paint to cling to, the coat may end up flaking off!

    Hey up Henry!
New buisness venture in the offing?
For David's tooth, we would more likely say key. Light abrasion before painting provides a key for the paint to adhere to.
