    B&O Advertising!

I see B&O are targeting the elite! two advertising boards at the Sri Lanka - England Test Match. Not in the best positions but they probably got them at a good rate! Two points:

    1. If you want the best positions, they are fine of the wicket as they will be picked up almost every ball!

    2. When watching cricket, I often take a radio to the match and have the commentary on whilst watching. Shame B&O don't do a radio which is capable of doing this. How about doing a small portable  with DAB on it - I am sure Samsung could provide one and brand it with sports in mind. A nice classy finish would be bound to appeal to the cricket watching fraternity.

Talking of advertising Peter, I was browsing eBay yesterday and came accross all these ads for B&O neon lighting signs, what's all this about then? I assume that these are not original B&O lighting signs? Quite fun to look at though and I was toying with the idea of getting one! Probably won't though, they are a bit tacky!

They also seem to be sticking adverts in City AM, How to Spent it (a magazine supplement the FT produces) as well as near the financial sections of all the free London papers

They are originals on the whole! You must remember that the 70s had some odd ideas about style! Made for dealers back then. I did get one of the smart ones with the crown logo on but have given it away.

A crying shame that the serenata dont come with  radio. With its in built loudspeaker it would have been such a handy radio listening to news and matches. If it will be available, wich i doubt regrding the "clean" consept of just beeing a music mobile, I would definitely have bought it.

Peter, I think Simon is refering to the multitude of B&O neon signs on eBay for 0.48p + P+P of about £17.
I think Ed has one of these halfway up his stairs in a little nook. I think it looks great and am considering getting a couple, for over my planned display of old Beomasters.

I too keep seeing these Neon Signs on Ebay. Been thinking about getting one myself for a while. Not sure where to put it though.

I think they are fake as you see the same but for other brands on eBay.

They're not fake, just not B&O. They don't claim to be either.

    Re: B&O Advertising!

Easy, I just sent myself 2000 PMs one evening.

Only joking. I think I got a head start with the "My trip to Struer" thread. Things just excalated from there on.
I also host the Wed thred, alternating with me mate Puncher every second week or so.

As for instructing, I never instruct in the evenings and very seldom does a day pass where I haven't checked out the Beoworld forums. It's a similar virus, or even a mutation of the Beovirus.

If you want to get your post-count up, just walk around all day with a digital camera strapped on top of yer 'ed!
That way, you can turn a two day event into a months worth of posts.Wink
