Hi Klas!
Thanks for your reply. I was suspcious that is the case with NTSC. I'm using an LCD monitor connected via VGA rather than a TV, so I'm not sure if there's PAL/NTSC issue with a monitor. I would have thought if you plug an NTSC source into a PAL TV, it would show a terrible distorted picture rather than having no signal at all? I'm getting nothing displayed on screen at all - so the display looks the same whether I've plugged in the output or not.
I think my current TV isn't NTSC so I can't test that on the TV but I'll be getting an LCD panel next year so I'll make sure it shows NTSC.
Was trying to test the audio source though. I plugged in the red-white RCA from an audio source, then I turned on the Beosystem1 (pressing TV button on the Beo4 and hearing a "tick"), then I pressed DVD on the Beo4 (no tick this time) and was hoping there would be sound but that didn't happen (although the speaker LED went green). A pity I can't see and change the setting on the TV. Maybe I need to try it at a friends place if they have an NTSC TV.
Also, Klas, do you know if B&O in Australia would service the Beosystem1? As I think it is only sold in the States?
Thanks again mate!!
