    1700 series and CD's

I have an ancient 1700 series system (amp, tuner, cassette, Beogram 4000 and a pair of beovox 3702) which have been in storage for years but are now out on parole and working well. Can I connect a CD player, are there adapter cables available to convert into the old din style plugs and which is the best input on the amp for a good "clean" sound? Thanks

Hi Nick and welcome to BeoworldSmile

Connection is via the Tape input and phono/din adaptor leads are readily available from any decent electronics supplier (such as Maplins in the UK). If you are intent on using both your cassette & CD then your best bet is to aquire a CD/Tape adaptor - see this thread. Not particularly easy to find though, but saves having to unplug your cassette/CD player whenever you need to switch sources.

Just found this on ebay USA which looks a good solution. May need some DIN/phono adaptor leads for B&O peripherals.

Nick I have a CD/Tape adaptor which I no longer require. If you are interested drop me a PM.
