    Short cutting Beolink 1000

Hi there, long time no see (I have been working on my masters thesis lately)

Just a word of warning: The Beolink 1000 gets quite warm when it short cuts! My old beolink 1000 mk 2 (I think) had been behaving badly for some days, not responding to commands all the times. Then today when it wouldn’t respond I shook it a bit, and still no respond. Then a short while after I noticed that the beolink 1000 became very hot around the battery compartment (I ofcourse removed the batteries instantly).

Have any of you others experienced this? Where in the battery compartment could the short cut be? (I haven’t had time to take my faulty BL1000 apart yet). Perhaps it is a sign to start looking at a Beo5…J

    Best regards

I think I have put a service manual for the BL1000 on site - look in the MX1500 service book as I think it is mentioned!!
