    static noise

    hi this is my first time on the forum and was wondering if any one could help me out,i have a beocentre 2 with a beovision 3 beolab 3 front speakers and beolab 4000 as rear speakers i am getting a static sound ,only faintly but still anoying from the left speakers front rear and t v depending on  the  speaker setting i use, this only happens with cds but not if i use the dvd setting on the remote hope this makes sense thanks shaun.

    What sort of Powerlink cables are you using? They should be Mark 3 with the small triangle mark on the plugs. Beolab 3s are very sensitive to interference and the cables need to be the shielded ones.

    From what you say though, I would suspect a fault in the Surround Sound module of the BV3. Have you tried connecting the speakers just to the BC2 to see if there is any static there? I would guess that it will be fine. If it is, I would suggest getting the module looked at. Is it still under warranty?

    Sounds to me like a Master link fault maybe, when you use the DVD command the sound is transfered by the scart cable.
