    What do the for colored buttons do on the Beo4? When do they come into play?

    They serve a million and one different functions. They work as the coloured buttons when controlling a set top box, they serve many different functions whilst operating a DVD player, such as calling up the DVD menu, they function different things with certain CD players as well. For example you can open and close the CD tray in a BeoSound 1 with the coloured buttons (I think it was yellow, could be wrong though).

    They also serve functions when operating lighting...

    What products do you have? Alex is correct that they do a variety of things on different products. Cue and Review in video products is an obvious one and they are also instrumental in choosing how to browse music stored on your computer if using a Mac and N.Music. Also used with the Set Top Box Controllers with TV sets. Download some of the user manuals and they will show you.

    Ah! I see. I've only got the BS4 and BL4000's with Stands (seen in the picture on the page)  and figured they were for some other products.
