Hi,

I just emailed the author and he said this won't work. That said, does anyone know a way to get the Mac Mini (with IR) to see and respond to the Beo4? If it's even possible...

Is not possible. The Macs use a very special IR frequency, so does B&O. In fact, you will have to get a "special" version of the IR trans so that it does understand the Beo 4 signals.
