I've just purchased on ebay this system but only require the CDX2.

Here's the ebay # number  200169215081 for a better description.

Is there someone,who would be prepared to pick up this system from the Perthshire and Kinross area, ( Perth specifically ) and send me the CDX player via Parcel Force air, then keep the rest as payment ?

Failing this,  Is there a better/affordable delivery company alternative to Parcel Force ?

Either way I have no use for the stand or the speakers - are they worth saving by a Beoworld member ?

The ebay seller wants a pick up - I want the CD player.

Can communicate via telephone if it makes things easier, at my expense.

 

Am I totally crazy............probably. Anyway, let me know one way or the other, lets save this Beocenter 5000.

The CDX2 is the only thing I need, the rest isn't worth ( for me ) the extortionate cost of postage to Australia by Parcel Force.

Perth is rather remote!! Even the Scottish one! He can send the CDX2 to me if you want and I will forward it on! You can tell him to sell the 5000 again though to be honest these are not very popular! shame as the amplifier in them is a real cracker!

             Thanks for the offer mate.

Prior to receiving this message, the seller emailed me and is peeved at me not wanting to take the whole system, so have offered to pay his listing and final value fees, suggesting he relist the CDX2 player separate. Sometimes ebay sellers can be difficult to please.

Of course if anyone else wants the rest of the system for a reasonable price or something, I can try to work it out with the seller.
 

Don't see why he is upset! He is going to be paid and will save having to lug the 5000 to a Post Office! Might even get some more money for the 5000 system.
