    bs-9000 pin protection

when my bs-9000 asked for the pincode I stopped the power.

6 days later when I turned the power on nothing happend.

standbye led turned on,but cd or radio are not working

every 5 minutes  you hear a click and the led turns off and on.

Is mine bs-9000 dead or is it the pin protection?

It is likely that a fault has occurred on your Beosound 9000, possible intermittent.

Switch the unit off and remove all connections, masterlink etc and then switch on again and see the results

everything is removed still the same problem.

How long will it normally take when the beosound is in pincode protection?

We do have the service manual for this model but I would suggest that it won't get you very far! I think this needs to be seen by the service department.

I am assuming that you have your pin code ? please confirm..

On this version of the Beosound 9000 the pin code can be de-activated, if it was previously de-activated, i.e. if you turned the power off for a while, on switching it on again, it did NOT ask for a pin code, but due to some problem it has been re-activated, then you will need the pin code to put it back to its previous state.

So, what happen just prior to the problem occuring ?

    Regards Keith....

i didn't have the master code, only my own personel code.

Power as been off about an hour, when the power was on the beosound asked for the pincode.

Then I pulled the main power off.I did that 2 times

Now I can not activate my pin code because the buttons don't work anymore

You may have a dead lock - I would recommend you to bring it to your dealer for a hard reset, that should solve your issue. If not, your dealer can do a read-out of the error code(s) and check them against the service manual.
