    Need New Belt

I found a BO Beogram 4002 Turntable at a garage sale for $20.00 so I bought it. The guy didn't know what was wrong with it. I took the platter off and found it needs a new belt. Does any one know where to get one and how much they are?  Also, is there any thing else I should look for while the platter is off?Unsure

Martin (Dillen on site ) can get you belts. You will need the Type number. There are actually two belts - one for the platter and one that drives the arm. I would get those first and see if there are any other problems at that point!

    Nice purchase!

Who is Martin [Dillen] and where do I find him?  Also, how do I take it apart to get to the other belt?

These decks come apart very easily. The wooden surround pulls forward and then you can remove all the metal panels. It takes a little practice to put them back. I wouldn't be too surprised if you find the old belt somewhere in there!!

It came apart just as you said.  I found a place online to get the belts; www.turntablebasics.com , so I bought them. They were $15. I'll see how well they work when I receive them.
