    BV9/BV4 with beosystem 3 /BLUE RAY

May I ask what Blue ray players are being used with BV9/4 with BS3??  and how are they connected( hdmi- scart??)

how is audio handled (via coax?)

Is anyone getting true dd sound? and any problems with BS3 handling it?

The PS3 has been mentioned but my understanding is that it does not offer the best PQ in general for BR, its very noisy and does not support lossless audio?

You can use Sony and Samsung wich is in the PUC list. Use HDMI and the picture is far better then BC2. I have tested my sons Playstation3 and it´s amazing picture on my BV9 Full HD

    Re: BLUE RAY & BS3

Regarding the bit about 5.1 sound. The sound track on a bluray disk is usually suppied in dd5.1 and uncompressed 5.1 pcm. The bs3 can deal with both of these. The umcompressed 5.1 pcm track being way better than the dd5.1, a real improvement. I have my bs3 connected to a playstation 3 picture excellent sound excellent both way better than DVD.

    Cheers

    Peter

    Hi 355f,

My dealer has this setup installed in the shop:

    BV4 65" full HD + Bsys3 + Blu-ray player Panasonic.
They are controlling the whole using only the beo4 and it plays the full DTS-HD in 7.1 via Labs.
The blu-ray film they used for the DTS-HD 7.1 demo was "Underworld evolution".

    Regards.

I'm not Santiago but I suppose it was the Panasonic DMP-BD10.
This one is supported by the BS3 PUC library.

Sorry but I didn't watch the model name at all, however I touched the front buttons "play" "pause" "rewind" etc... several times, so if I see the frontal control panel open I could recognize the exact model, because I don't think there are lot of blu-ray Panasonic models in the market today...Wink  in any case the general aspect is a "quite classic" disc player, not an "ultra-modern" aspect device.

If you let me see a Panasonic link with the frontal panel OPEN, I could confirm you if yes or not is the correct model... I can't found any picture like this.

Yes, Gerd is right, definitely it was that model, I've finally found a view with the front panel open Yes - thumbs up

And here I can see all the buttons I was touching...

    Re: BLUE RAY & BS3

That's right. Your dealer should have a program called "IR-Table Generator"
which allows him to add this Blue-Ray-Player to the PUC list
