    Thanks Ed.
Not many pictures of me on my own camera!

This is a working lock. The boat goes up and down different levels in the canal system.

Mars bars have been made in Holland since 1962.
This factory 'makes' a little Mars bar and delivers it to you in a truck by placing 10 eurocents in the blue thing.
There is another factory which 'makes' little pottery clogs too.

After we left this remarkable model village, Ed took us down to the nearby docks for something to eat.

Ed and Monique have a special fish shop where they always go when in the vicinity. It stands right on the docks and, although not very posh, sells a wonderful selection of fish. You can't get fish much fresher than this!

    And no wonder!
Just look at the size of my fish!
In Clitheroe, one fish this size would be sliced into three pieces for fish'n'chips.
I had copious ammounts of garlic sauce with mine. Mmmm, yummy!

Re: My trip to visit Beoworlder, Ed in Holland...........Photo's by Andy T.

Well, sadly this was the end of a lovely day out and we headed back Ed's home.
I was to get up super-early the next day for the drive down to France to catch the mid-day ferry, so we didn't plan on stopping up to late.
Just chance to take a couple more photo's of Ed and Monique's B&O.

    Poor me, never win owt!

This is what happens when you give a mad Dutchman a couple of beers and then go to the loo leaving your camera unguarded!

Re: My trip to visit Beoworlder, Ed in Holland...........Photo's by Andy T.

Sadly, I was nearing the end of my tripSad

I had to be up at 6.00 am and leave Ed's before 7. Ed and Monique were both kind enough to get up early to see me off.
Before I left, Ed gave me a Beomaster 1000 to add to my collection. I am slowly turning into a Beomuseum!
We had our hugs and I waved goodbye at about seven and set off into the dark misty morning.
I had added an hour as contingency so I wouldn't be late for the ferry I was catching in France.
Good job I did! I met a massive traffic jam on the outskirts of Antwerp. It was caused by roadworks and held me up for almost exactly an hour.

    Poor me, never win owt!

I arrived at Dunkerqe with about five minutes to spare. Just time to nip to the loo then drive staight onto the ferry.

Re: My trip to visit Beoworlder, Ed in Holland...........Photo's by Andy T.

All that remains now is to say a huge thank you to Ed for cordially inviting me to his humble abode and for the Beomaster.
To Monique and Romy for making me feel at home
To Leon and Tonny for their scintillating company.
To Fred Baak for the B&O watch and the friendly welcome to his shop.
To Lee for letting me drown the forum with photo's
To whichever moderator pinned this thread for me.
    And finally
To all of you Beoworlders for reading this and putting up with me.

I will keep these clogs as a memoir of a happy time spent in Holland.

    The End.

    Andy T.

Andy is our personal BeoWorld writer Smile

I have a question for Ed: Now I personally would say you are a very cool Dad, but I was wondering how your daughter and wife get on with your never ending love for B&O? Have they been 'B&O bugged' as well?
