    Beomaster 4500 Power Problem

Hi there - My trusty Beomaster 4500 started acting up today.  Instead of turning on, it "clicks" briefly and turns off immediately.  Has anyone experienced this issue?  It seems like the power relay will not "catch" or stick on.  Although I'm a new "registered" member, I've been a long time BEOWORLD lurker, and B&O collector - love this community for the wealth of info.  thanks in advance!

Have you changed anything recently? Speaker leads for instance.

Sadly, no - nothing has been changed recently.  I've also tried disconnecting all accessories and speakers with the same result: It clicks "on" for a second, then off immediately. I've also left the unit disconnected for several hours in the hope that might reset something, but again, no change in behavior.  I'm starting to fear I have a bad relay somewhere.

This fault is probably not with the relay. I would suspect power supply or more likely somewhere further along the chain such as power amp fault. The shut down is a safety feature.

Suggest you have a service centre look at it and quote for repair.

    Regards Graham
