    Serenata link

It’s been nice tracking all the great feedback from the Beoworld Serenata review's. Those of you who are also keenly waiting the arrival of the Serenata might find this video link below interesting.  The editor of this magazine also indicates on the Danish page - a November arrival and approx. price of 11,000dkk.

I see that the video seems to show that the Serenata can also play some forms of video format? Does anyone know what type of video files it can read?

    About the pricing, another website:

    http://www.baekdal.com/Design/Cool-Objects/Serenata/

    indicated the price would be:

"Price? it costs a staggering 1,030 EUR ($1,460)."

Even though that person believed that US$1,460 is a staggering amount, I only thought it was a little bit high, but I reasoned one was getting two items in one, so it seemed a little more palatable.  When you price a BeoSound 2, about US$460.00, and a Serene US1,275.00, together that is US1,735.00.

However, now I see that the price of DK11,000.00 is mentioned, which equals US$2,125.00!  I think that is going quite a bit too far.  Maybe B&O should carefully consider the way they price this item.

    Dear All:

The gentleman in the video appears to be having a hard time articulating/selling the Serenata.   It could just be a language thing or cultural Danish thing, no being showy.  Here I am assuming that he may be Danish.

Is the Serenata coming to the US?  I would like to see it and play with it.  It looks big.  So, I remain undecided about this product.

My feeling is that the next year or two will be transition years for B&O, as it tries to find its place in the digital world.

    Re: Serenata link

Coming to the US? Well, the beauty of B&O is that thanks to the lack of a contract you could get one from anywhere and take it home. Certainly, I would be tempted to get one next time I'm abrad to avoid British sales tax. I normally don't mind but for a 4 figure purchase that can fit in my pocket, I refuse to pay the 17.5%, just out of principle

Not sure i like the LV case. It kind of ruins the whole shape.

Perhaps Vaja can come up with something more discreet. They did a nice job of the BeoSound 2 case.
