    rewritable CD 's on BS9000

    Hello

    I have a beosound 9000 Mk1 and it can’t read the  RW cd’s.

Did you know if  i change the « laser block » the problems will be resolved or if it's software problems ?

Has it ever read them or has it just recently stopped working?

    Regards Graham

For what it's worth, my MKIII also cannot read CD-RWs... It has never been able to read them. CD-R's are completely fine, though.

it's never read the RW, but i had a "ouverture" and it can read RW's without problems.

that strange than some BO product can read RW and others not.

Used to have the same problem with my old Beocenter 9000. To be fair though it was made a long time before CD-RW's came out. It would play most CD-R's no problem though.

Very interesting, due to it's age I would have thought it would not be able to play them. All the better for you that it does though.

It is interesting as it also plays those copy protected cd's whilst some new players won't play them. Its a bit odd actually
