Beosound 2 problems with 2GB SD Card

Got my Beosound 2 today. However, it seems to have a problem with my Panasonic 2GB SD Card. So, I updated the firmware but the problem persist. With a 64MB card it works without any problems. And ideas?

    Thanks!

Try reformatting the SD card to FAT32 as it may be preformatted to NTFS which BeoSound 2 may not be able to read from. Ensure that you are copying mp3 or wma sound files only. Let us know how you get on.

    the user manual says:

    • Carte SD (1 Go) • Carte multimédia (128 Mo)

    • Carte miniSD. (512 Mo)

    . (512 Mo)

Fente de lecture pour carte PC

    • Carte xD Picture (512 Mo) • Carte Flash ATA (128 Mo)

    • Memory Stick Pro (1 Go)

Un adaptateur de carte PC standard est nécessaire pour

    pouvoir utiliser ces cartes.

B&O only recommend SanDisk maximum size 1Gb.  It is accepted that many people are using 2Gb cards successfully but not all will work and problems occur, such as not reading the card and skipping.  In my experience, it is hit or miss whether you get a 2Gb card to work (SanDisk or not) but 1Gb cards will work every time.

    What kind of problems ?

did you use beoplayer to put music on the card or drag and drop directly ont the card?

did you press the two bottom arrow key to update the catalog ?

I use a no name sd card on my bs2 without problems.

Just got it running. I draged and dropped via the normal explorer. So, I guess I had to press the lower two triangles to update the playlist. The update takes some times and I have the impression that each updated folder is confirmed by a short "beep".

Now it works fine, also with my 2GB card.

    Thanks again!
