Hey all!
Last night I could not get to sleep very good (not enough beer??) and was thinking around. Suddenly I thought about some polls we were having on the old forum and that I somehow missed these polls, because I always enjoyed them. But I can perfectly understand the mods, that they wanted to stop that poll-invasion we were somethimes having on the old beoworld.
So here is my idea:
Why don't our moderators start a weekly (or monthly) poll on the beoworld site, just like on this italian juventus-site. There is a poll evey week, and the results are stored on a seperate site, so they don't disturb the forum users. I think this could be fun and maybe sometimes usefull.
Please think about this, dear moderators. (You could start a poll if this is a good idea or not  )

I think this is a great idea! Well done Tom. I'm sure Lee will look into this. There is a similar poll to the on you mentioned Tom on the Formula1.com website.

I have no clear idea for the first poll, but I am sure that something in relation to the recently launched products would be interesting. When it gets more concrete and there is someone in charge of that "weekly poll", we could send him suggestions for future polls, just like Andy asks for ideas for "his wednesday© threads".

Calvin: I sense a themed day-of-the-week thing coming on. Wednesday is the encourated irrelavent discussion, Monday could be the launch of the weekly poll. Now that we have a decently sized and regularly watching community, I think this is probably a stp in the right direction.
I agree, I like the sound of this and it is something I would definitely enjoy participating in.

The first BeoWorld 'Monday Poll' will start this Monday coming..
We kind of jumped the gun with the 8000/6000 thing just to test the response - and it was excellent! Therefore, we shall do a Monday Poll from now on.

PS - Can i just add that if any BeoWorlders have any burning questions they feel would be a valuable and serious topic for the poll - please PM them to me. I may not initiate the particular poll that week, but i will store it for future use i promise.
