Beolab 9 speakers shutting off
So... yesterday i held this party with a lot of people and everything. I actually managed to play my beolab9 speakers so loud that they shut down on me :-) This made me think, is this normal?? I mean how many others play their system so loud that their Bl9´s or even bl5´s have to cool down?? :-)

Yes, it's the thermal protection cutting in. I've done it numerous times with BeoLab 5s

Same here, it can be such a pain sometimes when there are a lot of people. But at least they are protected. Have not heard of the BL9s shutting down though. Or any other B&O speakers for that matter. Joe

Well, lets just say that the ones living right under me didnt share the same taste in music as me at 2 o'clock in the morning so they asked us to turn the music down a bit.

Definitely, but I always think it would be better if they simply set them to bring down the volume overall, rather than just completely shutting down. It's not all that impressive if your system just stops working completely at a party etc...
