    How many versions of BeoSystem 3 is there?

    Hi All,

    How many versions of a BeoSystem 3 exists? Could I by a BeoSystem 3 in Germany or Denmark and use it in the UK?

    or

    are the versions more regionally specific i.e. European model, North American model, and Japanese model?

    There are 11 different types and as you guessed, they are region specific. For your example, it is likely that it would work as both types 9600 and 9601 seem to have the right TV transmission options.

    I read a post on the old site that the North American version does not have any Scart sockets where the UK version has 3 scarts. Maybe one of our Amercian members could confirm.

    Just like a US spec Avant then. Rember there been a picture on the old Forum of one. Just rows of RCA connections.

    For those interested, I have just put the US user and reference manuals on site for Gold and Silver members.

    Although the US Avant also had a completely different picture brain driving it, it was internally almost a completely different design alltogether.
