    @David (or another Aussie)

    Hiya,

How much is a BV7-40 with the BL7-2, table stand, and the whole surround cinema thing?  I'm thinking of moving to Australia next year and want to see if they're cheaper here or there.  I assume if it's cheaper here (Germany) that I could just switch out the power lead and be set since it's still 220v...

    Thanks!

Yourae going to be more specific about the "surround sound" thing. All the speakers have different costs.

Also what stand do you want the tv on.

There is also some installation cost to be considered.

It's all PAL isn't it?  Not that I watch much TV, anyway.  In fact, my TV is never on except Sundays to watch NFL which comes over my digital cable anyway.  All I do otherwise is watch DVDs and listen to music.

The surround part... I mean the optional decoder (http://www.bang-olufsen.com/page.asp?id=131) .  But good that you mention the speakers... hmmm... maybe I should get an Aussie catalog and price list...

Table stand... mentioned it above Wink

In Australia the BV7 comes with the SS kit as standard and although terestrial tv is pal i think you would find the frequencies to be different. Foxtel is the Cable network, they broadcast NFL and Sky Digi in the set top box controller list controls it with the Beo4 or Beo5. The unit sells around AU$18,000.

I have ordered BV7-40 MKIII with BLab7.2 on table stand, with a pair of Blab 9 and pair of Blab 4000 as rear.

that cost me around $38000.00  AUS

Yay i'm the ambassador for Australia!

    No-one anwered your question, prices!

    BV7-40                    -                    $19,400 aussie bucks

BL7-2                      -                    $5,700 (get the BL7-4, it is the same price)

    Table stand             -                    $850

    Total_________________________$25,950__________

    Motorised table stand -                   $1,700

Not sure i'd be buying all this though mate, the new one with it's new processing is on it's way remember!

Okay, that's about 16,500 Euros... definitely cheaper in Germany.  Maybe I'll drive to CZ where the VAT is way less.  Then again, my dealer here knocks about 10% off of anything I buy.  I'll definitely have to look into the frequency differences between here and Australia.  But if all I want to watch, I can get on a set top box (there's more to life than watching the boob-tube) then HDMI is HDMI and it doesn't matter.

The BL7-4 can only be used with the floor stand or...?  I specifically want to use it on a table (my table ties the room together).

By the time I move and buy the mk3 will be there.  Or if I buy here then the mk3 is already here =)

Hey don't worry about the frequency we run on the same - 50hz. Just double check that 220v is ok on 240v... it should be, but better be safe than sorry. Smile

So long as your beolabs are not ALT the 7-2 would be more than sufficient me thinks.

The unit is not $25,950. BV7-40 price includes the BL and stand.

@David you can order Australian coded products from Europe.  When I knew I was coming back here that is what I did to ensure correct region regional settings and frequencies for radio stations etc.

The European power side of things is fine  B&O 50Hz products are ranged 220 – 240 volts and even state this on the compliance labelling.

Re pricing generally speaking products are cheaper in Europe

Good luck, what city are you moving to?

    BV10, AvantDVD, BS3000, BL8000, BL6000, BL4000, BL3500, BeoPorts, BC9300, BC7002, CX100s, C75s, Beo4s, BC6000s, LC2s, A9, A8s,

    Re: @David (or another Aussie)

the supply voltage is surely not a problem but is the TV broadcast system the same??

All good info, thanks.  The move would be in about a year.  I think my contract will be up in March at the latest and then I'll just bum around for the summer and move after the next Oktoberfest.  I'd probably move to Sydney or Perth or Adelaide.  My dad's side of the family are all from Sydney and they'd disown me if I moved to Melbourne.

But it's cool since a year is plenty of time to make sure I'm going to move and get the scratch together for the TV and a couple more speakers.

    Re: @David (or another Aussie)

I'm a bit late adding to this thread.

Nothing wrong with Melbourne, we have the AFL, NRL and the A League trophys in Victoria...

I have some prices that were forwarded to Keith, unfortunately the full price list went with my last computer. Something you may want to bring over is a bracket for the 7.4 from one of this sites sponsors. Another thing to remember is that we have no Aussie warehouse anymore so if you buy something over here it may take longer than you expect to arrive.

A year is not long in beotime...

    beoaus.

Aussie prices are higher compared to Europe, even with a strong aussie dollar, there has not been any price adjustments to reflect that, rather, prices will be going up (as usual).

    Re: @David (or another Aussie)

David - if you can hold on for a year; order the products, TV Australia adapted, from your dealer in time for your move and ask him to deliver directly to your shipping agent.

That way you won't have to pay any VAT as products go for export and in addition to your 10% discount you're saving $'s....

But thats if you can wait :)
