    BV 4 - 50 Panel Version with beosystem 3

    Dear all,

I connected a BV 4 -50 to a new beosystem 3. Now I have some issues with resolution.
(i.e. the clock in the upper right corner is only shown half on the screen and with a camera
connected the picture is moved to the right, but than the clock is shown correctly!?)

Can anybody tell me what my panel with the series # 188 342 38 will be? A D7 or D8 Panel?

Moreover, where can I change the registration of the panel in the menue. Within connections
I can only change the projector, but not the panel? (the display 1: bv4-50 is shown in gray...)

    Thanks for your help!

    JP

    Hello JP

    You need to look in the service menu, to do this;

    From standby using the beo4 remote press;

    DTV

    Menu

    Menu

    0 0 GO

    GO

    Select Picture Adjustments

    GO

    Select Screen Information

    GO

This will display the monitor type and screen resolution.

    Cheers

    Peter

You need to change the 'automatically detect what monitor' option in the service menu - then set uit up to use the correct resolution (it won't be grayed out any more)

Should be a D7 panel (D8 starts at serial 19207548)

Enter "Customer Service Menu" by pressing MENU to access the TV SETUP menu,
place cursor on OPTION, then press RED and within 3 seconds GO.

Enter ADJUSTMENTS and check if WSS STATUS is on. If ok try MONITOR AUTO
DETECT off, quit service mode and enter TV SETUP > CONNECTIONS > DISPLAY.
You should be able now to set the resolution manually.

Remember that  MONITOR AUTO DETECT should always be ON when a BV4 is
    connected!

    Good luck

    Dear Gerd,

thanks a lot. I solved the issue without turning the auto detect off.

I changed the option within this menue for the display to 60hz on.
Than I only had to move the picture slightly to the left
now the clock is displayed correctly in all cases....

Thats why I love this forum!

    Yours, JP
