    Beomaster 1700 belt

    Hi all!

My BM 1700 arrived today all the way from the U.K. (Thanks to the person who brought it over for me). Amazing condition, works like a dream EXCEPT the tractor belt for tuning is broken. I could try and fix it but does anyone know how I can get a replacement belt?

     Any ideas much appreciated!

Hi, i'm afraid 'in your dreams' is the answer to a replacement belt: enough broken ones out there (it's some kind of plastic unfortunately) and as far as i know none available.
i'm thinking along the lines of a 'tractor-belt' like they use in printers etc and use it inside out but these are usually too thick...anyone who knows a proper 'fix' could help quite some people :)

Oh dear! Thought that might be the answer I'd get. I'm going to do some investigation into it and hopefully will come up with something!

Is there a way to get the belt holder apart so you can try out differant materials, I have one that has a broken belt but I can't split it to try anything else out.

My belts on the beomaster 1700 are in a sorry state too, i have tried getting the sewing kit out and put stiches in them. they have done the trick but the belt has 3 sets of stiches in it so far. has anyone got any other solutions or has managed to find new ones?
