Hi,
I need help adjusting the anti-skating on a BeoGram 3404... I can't seem to find it...
Thanks in advance!

Hello Ric and welcome to Beoworld !
All the B&O radial tone-arms have their anti-skating automatically balancedby an inclination at the level of the ball bearings. So no external accessories, string with small weights, springs…

Hi Teddy,
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Then I assume from your response, if I purchased a used 3404 that "skates" back across the record (to the begining, not the spindle) the bearing was damaged in transit & is basically DOA?
Thanks, Ric
Hi Ric,
I was not quite exact for the Beogram 3404 (and the 2200 types) there is well an anti-skating with a spring which can be adjusted in the inner of the record player. The symptoms that you describe can also come from the automatic record-size mechanism and the pickup arm lowering.I would advise you to upgrade your membership to silver or gold so that you will have access to all the service manuals in particular that of the Beogram 3404.All adjustments and maintenance operations are meticulously described. It’s a true gold mine for everyone who wishes to restore to their original condition the oldest or the newest B&O equipments.
