Good and bad news in the paper

Reading my local Swedish paper today gave me both joy and anger on the B&O horizon.

First the good the news: Today B&O finally open a store in the town. Now I don´t have to go 125 km one way to my dealer! Everyday this week the have had a small ad with a picture of a BL9 in standby and the text On Saturday the light turns green. Today the have a full page ad with the BL 9 turned on! Party!!!

The bad news: There´s an article of an old lady having an DVB-T installed. It´s look like a LX5500 and three things upsets me:

    - The technician instruct her to start the TV and press [0] to get the channels. That means he must have connected it through the aerial instead of using a scart input.

    - He tells here to lay the BeoLink 1000 aside after that and only use the ugly plastic remote

    - He place the DVB-T on top of the TV instead of placing it under the TV. Destroying the look of a beautiful LX! Super Angry

But of the course the old lady is also reading the paper and discover that B&O open today. She takes here saving (no money left for the kids) and get here self a BV 7-40! Happy end! Big Smile

(If there´s a moderator around please remove the party smiley from the topic name. Wasn´t meant to have it there.)

Yes, I was there, but without camera. It´s a B1 store with full range (but I didn´t see any BV 8-32). They had the revolving speaker set up we saw in Struer next to a BV 7. The had very nice chocolate for me and baloons for my son.

They had sold a lot of stuff today and many TV sets. The shop owner (the same guy that runs my old shop 125 km away) guessed that people had been waiting with the updating until today. A good start and it gives me hope that the shop will stay in business as I can´t support it all by myself. Stick out tongue

there was a recent article about Skåne in the new york times. Sounds nice "It was like an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog brought to life and fueled by Absolut."

Crap! They missed the best part of Skåne with the best beaches: The eastern part!

Åhus, where I live is the home village of Absolut.

Are you sure it's a LX 5500? I could look like a LX2800, and on that you can save the scart on a channel... I have it on 0...

I thought the best part of Skåne is the aquavit.  I was there before the bridge was built.  I really liked taking the hovercraft (flygbåtarna) to Copenhagen.

That makes sense. It hit me that you can´t store a channel on [0] on a LX5500. Actually I think that´s the way you remove a programmed channel.

    Aquavit is nice!

The hovercrafts are gone. If you want to go by boat between Denmark and Sweden you´ll have to go between Helsingborg-Helsingör (Elsinor). But that´s nice for then you can drink aquavit and watch Kronborg (the castle of Hamlet).
