    New Wireless software

Can anyone tell me what the new wireless software is about? My wireless is almost non operational - it cuts in and out constantly. I am waiting on the new software update and wonder what it will offer to (hopefully) fix my problem.

    Re: New Wireless software

    Hi Patrick,

I have the same problem, changing channels on my wireless router helps. Turning it off completely fixes the problem. But not the solution i require.

I would like to know the same!

Is there any news on the software update. I believe (from Service) that it is in beta version at the moment. any news about the final version launce as my wireless is useless at the moment: one just has to cross the path between the two units and it switches itself on and off incessantly. It is so annoying I have not used it now for several months.

    Re: New Wireless software

The final version is out - new Wireless 1's are shipped with it.

It is wise to keep in mind that, during the setup of the updated Wireless 1, you create as much traffic as possible with any other wireless equipment that you have. As an example: start a download to your PC from the internet. The new SW will do a scan and avoid the area(s) of the scale with the most traffic. Seem to work 100%.

It also automatic change channel if there is traffic on the channel it uses.

    Re: New Wireless software

Is this the version that B&O Service is telling me is still in Beta? I have already had one update from the original that was shipped with my wireless units. Perhaps this is the third version that I am speaking about. Does this sound correct?

    Re: New Wireless software

I bought BL wireless in May 2007, works nicely. I want to expand into a second room. Most likely, when I buy an add. unit, it has a software update. Does anybody know if an updated receiver station works with a non-updated sender station. In other words, do I need to upgrade the entire system to release 2 software ?

Yes you will need to get them updated. Take them with you, when you bay a new unit and demand a update of the old unit.
