I have to admit BeoWorld is very special community and being part of it is a privilege.

By the way this plates will be on this Volvo until March 2008 when my lease ends.
I'm not sure yet which car will I get next but plates are definitely staying.

Yes these are NY plates.
Out of 100 probably 10. But I'm on the quest of educating people ;)

Heres a random thought, imagine these plates on the new Bentley GT Speed. This is, to me, the kind of car that should have aquired the advanced sound system. The best of the best, with the best of the best? HOT

I think Volvo like Bang & Olufsen shows some of the same Scandinavian design tricks. But i think Bang & Olufsen are more fine and finished designed.

 

Did you know that in the Volvo "women" concept car the center was designed and prototype manufactured by Bang & Olufsen a few years back.  http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3528757.stm

 

I do not think they work togheater anymore, but perhaps the very slim alu center console that are in some Volvo's today was designed and prototype manufactured by Bang & Olufsen also. Who knows.

Interesting that you brought that up, I was shopping for new 2007 volvo s80 for some time and test drove the car.
I did like the car but never pulled the trigger.
What I have read in some reviews is 2007 s80 has B&O like buttons on the center console.
Personally I did not notice that but this is what has been written about it:
"The freestanding center stack that connects the dashboard to the console was upgraded accordingly, adding a measure of Bang & Olufsen elegance to the interior design."

There is definitely a link between skandinavian design companies - however unfortunately I do feel presence of the US "contribution" in new volvo's. Perhaps this is why I did not buy it in the end...
