    poor BeoMaster 1900

    Hi,

I just saw a scratched and dirty BeoMaster 1900, with two BeoVox S30 loudspeakers in a charity shop at £24...

It was painful, I have the same BeoMaster at home and I love it. It had a note that was labelling it as a "radio," and that only the second pair of loudspeaker output is working. I don't know what to do, to "rescue" it or not.

If for no other reason, it could be good for spares should your unit fail in the future.

    Regards Keith....

Good idea. Beside I think I might have to change the capacitors in mine. Is there anything else I have to take care to assure it a long life?

    Thanks,

    Laurian

Rescue it! You can always fix it and polish it up and sell it for much more then you paid for it!!

You know you want it or you wouldn't have posted.

And if you are looking for a bunch of people to tell you you don't really need more B&O you may well have come to the wrong place! Devil

Touché; I might just need a bit of courage to explain/argue on it to my wife ;)

    Thanks,

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..

Do you have to argue/ explain to your wife!

My boyfriend learn me a little bit about the B&O world and about collectors. We have been together fore 6 years and he can still surprise me.

I thought he had them all, but no

Isn't there something your wife collect?Wink

You are duty bound to save the 1900. If nothing else when you get it home just give it a wipe over with a wet soapy cloth to pick off all the crod. Even if it doesn't work it's something good to look at. It is possible to reduce the scratches.

Erm - not seen this so had to use it!

    ditto -save it!

even if it is shot -it is still the finest paperweight ever!
