    F1000 furniture

Like a bad penny I am back again after a long rest. Can anyone amongst you provide me with some details of the measurements of the F1000 unit. The shelf size of the storage cabinets would be useful as would the usable surface of the two sections.

I still don't understand why its taken so long for B&O to realise that its TV's need digital tuners!

    Many thanks

    Barry

    Re: F1000 furniture

Hello and welcome to Beoworld BarryAndrew.

I can give you all dimensions you want, as my parents have a complete F1000 set with 3 cubes. I can give dimensions in centimeters only.

I will visit them on saturday and after that I will post the dimensions.

    Regards

    Martin

Many thanks Martin. Lee has one for sale and he is going to take a critical measurement for me but its all packed so it would be easier for all if someone with one could provide the measurements.

    Thanks again

    Re: F1000 furniture

    Ok, BarryAndrew, here we go:

The larger and higer shelf measures D/W/H 48/150/61cm, the smaller and lower shelf 37/125/43cm. All cubes measure 37/37/37cm. For inner size of the cubes you can reduce measures by 1 1/2 cm. The set, in 180° position, measures 240cm in width overall. The cube which is under the "rotation mechanism" holds about 35 long play records. The rest of the space is for wires going from the upper shelf down to the backside of the cube. All other cubes have full space. As an extra, as far as I know, you can get tape, cd, and dvd holder shelfs mounted on rails and fixed shelfs for the full space cubes.

    Hope this helps a little.

Many thanks Martin! Just to assured that your time hasn't been wasted both Lee & I thank you. Lee because he didn't have the time to get to his warehouse and measure the tops when its all packed up. Me? Because you re-assured me that what I was buying would fit.

Can I say that your help was in the best tradition of Beoworld and a 5 starrer if ever I saw one.

One proud owner of a F1000 on it way in a week or two's.

Thanks BarryAndrew. I always try to help as much as I can.

I am sure that you will enjoy the F1000 even after long years of owning it. My parents do too. They got the F1000 since 1991. Since than the decoration of their living room changed often, but the F1000 has always been in it's place.

My parents asked why I have to measure the F1000 set and I made the joke that I would sell it on ebay. They said that they won't sell it even if someone bids 2000-3000€ for it. Big Smile
