    Beo5 - Practical shape?

Like most (all?) only seen the photos of the new Beo5 but one thing strikes me. With my Beo4, whilst viewing to TV or listening to the radio etc; it rests most of the time on the arm of the sofa. Surely with the shape of the base of the Beo5 it would be a delicate balancing act with a strong risk of it falling off!

Maybe there's a weight in the bottom...

The Beo5 is a strange design but maybe its better than having a Beo4 with a wide display at the top.

Beo5 is bottom heavy, however it will still be a bit precarious to have it sitting upright on the arm of a sofa. It should however lay down without any problems. The ball has a flat section on the back of it.

I doubt it would be any worse than a BS2, and that has always seemed fairly stable (and crash resilient)

I had my hands on a Beo5 today in my local B&O shop. It is very nice to hold. It is not as heavy as you could imagine. The display is very similar to this one used in serene. I like Beo5 very much, you can also see and feel the very good built quality and the fine materials. A great device!
