    Extra cable coming out of the Beomaster 6500

    Hi,

    my used beomaster 6500 has an additional cable with a female 6-pin DIN coming out at the rear. Just above the aerial connections.

    I can't find anything about this in the manuals.

    Is this some kind of upgrade? It says S/W 1.4 on the back.

    I think it is so you can fit an external IR transceiver so that if the 6500 is in a cupboard, you can still control it.

    though I was hoping for something more exciting.

    I can't imagine why anyone would hide such a beautiful piece in a cupboard.
